To anyone who reads this: hello. This is my first post, so I’ll start with a few basics :
1) I’m a Christian but I’m not religious.
2) Almost everything I’ve ever attempted has been an exercise in futility.
3) So has almost everything you’ve attempted.
4) Point # 3 really pissed off a few people, but I can live with that.
5) If the person you first fell in love with was wonderful and later turned out to be an asshole, maybe they learned it from you.
6) Point # 5 pissed off a few more people, and I can live with that too.
7) I’m really not trying to piss people off, but most of us have a tendency to put the absolute best light possible on ourselves and the worst light on others - especially when they’ve hurt us in some way.
It’s a miracle that anyone ever loves….truly loves…anyone else, and it’s even more of a miracle that they keep loving each other.
9) I’m not talking about the "hump till your nostrils are flaring" type of love (not that I’m opposed to that), but the "one fallible person forgiving and cherishing another fallible person" type of love.
10) When the hurt and the anger have raged time and time again and you’ve still chosen love and forgiveness over your hurts and your rights, you’ve made a good beginning. God blesses good beginnings and honors them.
